The story of a photographer

Thank you for considering me to be a part of your memories! My name is Shannon Cotten and I am the face behind the lens of Tall Cotten Photography.

I am a mom of 4, plus a senior beagle. Together as a family we enjoy hunting and live music. Family is EVERYTHING! When I decided to move out on my own, I went really far.. one road over from my parents. Next door to my best friend since 4th grade and then if that wasn't enough, I moved my in laws in next door to me! I have an amazing village!

Other people consider me an honest, hardworking, dedicated and patient person. I just think I'm trying to keep my head above water! Being a Nikon shooter, firefighter wifey, work at home mom can get busy! I wouldn't trade this life for anything in the world.

It's been said before that if you love what you do then you will never work a day in your life. That is how I truly feel about my 'job.' Photography is so emotional. I cry at every birth, get giddy at every wedding and laugh with all of the kiddos.

Email or text tend to be the best forms of communication for me. Being a work at home mom, there tends to be lots of noise in the background.
